Volume 1, Chapter 6: "Over a Barbecue"
Short Summary[]
After six days, Rodrias finally appears outside of his manor to find out why Weed wants to see him. The two have a private meeting where it's obvious that they don't like each other, but Rodriquez caves to hear Weed's request after seeing that he has possession of a special item connected to Queen Evane. Hearing that Weed only wishes for advice on what class to pick, Rodrias inspects the former's character sheet, and discovers that Weed is taking on quests related to the Moonlight Sculptor. This leaves Rodrias convinced that Weed could possibly be the successor to Geihar Von Arpen, the past legendary emperor who once conquered the entire Versailles Continent. Rodrias offers a Special Quest for the Lair of Litvart dungeon that will provide Weed the class that he's been destined to have, which Weed accepts.
Returning to the Training Hall, Weed picks up Docke Lancer's previously offered E-Rank Quest since it was also connected to the Lair of Litvart, and is then invited to the instructor's home for a barbecue dinner. Before going, Weed purchases some bow supplies from a Blacksmith shop for his eventual Lair of Litvart journey.
At Lancer's home, Weed meets Seoyoon since the girl visits the instructor sometimes, but fears that she's a dangerous person upon seeing her red Player Killer Mark. Despite Seoyoon remaining quiet, the instructor had set this meeting up hoping that she would open up to Weed. Helping to cook dinner with the instructor's wife provides Weed a new skill while Seoyoon cleans the dishes for them. After the meal, Weed sets off the next day to begin his quests.
At the Serabourg gate, Weed meets up with the Rosenheim Army led by Sir Midvale, and is provided a horse mount, Colt, until the end of the E-Rank Quest. Colt turns out to be more trouble than he's worth for Weed as they all begin heading towards the Lair of Litvart. Meanwhile, Seoyoon departs on her own from Serabourg desiring to go somewhere far away in order to kill the deadliest of monsters, and continue getting away from her painful memory.
